Mr. Lawrence stated that :he city is obligated to function under ordinances in existence and based cn that. should take action regarding Breezy On:door's request. Mr. Lawrence also offered his services :o participate in the city's review of sign ordinances. Mr. Coodrich stated that prior to taking action, the Commission would need to know the subject that will be advertised on the sign and it must have a substantlal relatlonship to ~hat is on or within 2500 feet of the property. Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner Zimmerman to table Breezy Outdoor, Inc.'s request for a conditional use permit to construct an advertising sign until the applicant bas submitted additional information regarding the subject matter :o be advertised. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners LaDue, Howell and Hendrikaen. Voting Ho: None. The Commission proceeded to review the proposed findings of fact. Mr. Coodrich stated that be doesn*t believe grandfathered uses can be expanded, changed or improved; therefore, the buses removed from the property south of Hwy. ~10 could not be replaced. Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Chairman Zimmerman to recommend that City Council adopt the ,~i. ndings of fact, amended as follows, relating to Mr. Roger Suter's request,'f~r a conditional use pe.~it: Items ~7 and 8 - change references to 'abandoned buses' to 'inoperable buses'. Item ~10 - Change to indicate that no more than 15 buses will be moved f~om the property south of H~-. ~10 to the subject property. Add item z ~ ~-2. - Indicating :hat testimony was.received at the public heating opposing :he request. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zi=merman, Commissioners LaDue, Eendriksen and Eowe!l.
