Absent: Commissioner Van Scoy. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 7:52 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at 7:52 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Cleveland, to recommend that the <br />City Council adopt Findings of Fact relating to Mr. and Mrs. Benz's request for an Interim Use <br />Permit to maintain two dwellings on one parcel for a temporary period of time. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: <br /> <br />Commissioner Brauer wondered if the sixty-day extension is long enough considering the <br />weather and it being winter. Assistant Community Development Director Frolik stated <br />additional extensions of time are considered by the City Council. Commissioner Brauer <br />wondered if it would be advantageous to give them a ninety-day extension. Commissioner <br />Levine thought they would get that anyway if there were extenuating circumstances. <br />Commissioner Cleveland wondered if this has been an issue in the past. Assistant Community <br />Development Director Frolik stated them have not been any past issues. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt stated he would rather keep this at sixty days instead of being too liberal with <br />the time extension. <br /> <br />Commissioner Levine stated he would like to leave this at sixty days also. <br /> <br />Commissioner Trites Rolle indicated the date on the resolutions should reflect April 6, 2006. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Cleveland, Brauer, Hunt, <br />Levine, and Trites Rolle. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Van Scoy. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Levine, to recommend that City <br />Council approve Mr. and Mrs. Benz's request for an Interim Use Permit, based on the findings of <br />fact, to maintain two dwellings at 15410 Hematite St. for a temporary period of time. <br /> <br />Commissioner Trites Rolle indicated the date is incorrect on this resolution as well and should be <br />April 6, 2006. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Levine, Brauer, Cleveland, <br />Hunt, and Trites Rolle. Voting No: None.
