All exterior wall finishes on any building shall consist of one or more of <br />9 the following primary materials comprising at least 70 percent of a building facade: <br />10 (1) Face brick and architectural concrete masonry units; <br />11 (2) Stucco; <br />12 (3) Glass; <br />13 (4) Natural or cementous stone; <br />14 (5) Specifically designed pre -cast concrete units whose surfaces have been integrally treated <br />15 with an applied decorative material or texture; <br />16 (6) Factory fabricated fiber cement panel materials; <br />17 (7) Other materials as may be approved by the Planning Commission and City Council given the <br />18 building's use and context. <br />19 (B) Accent Exterior Materials. Exterior wall finishes on any building may consist of one or more of the <br />20 following accent materials combined limited to 30 percent of each side of a building facade: <br />21 (1) Wood <br />22 (2) Exterior Insulation Finishing Systems (EIFS) <br />23 (3) Metals <br />24 (4) Vinyl <br />25 (5) Other materials as may be approved by the Planning Commission and City Council given the <br />26 building's use and context. <br />27 (C) Roofing Materials. <br />28 (1) Pitched and sloped roofs — Asphalt shingles, standing seam metals, or metal shingles <br />29 designed to resemble asphalt shingles. <br />30 (2) Flat roofs — Any material commonly used for flat roofs provided the wall parapet is at least <br />31 six inches above the roofline. <br />32 <br />33 585 Commercial Fencing <br />34 (A) Fencing Materials. The following fence materials are permitted on business properties: <br />35 (1) Vinyl coated Chain Link <br />36 (2) Privacy fences constructed of wood or a maintenance -free composite material <br />37 (3) Extruded aluminum, wrought iron, or a similar durable decorative fence material. <br />38 (B) Prohibited Fencing Materials. The following fence materials are prohibited on business <br />39 properties: <br />40 (1) Barbed wire, concertina wire, or the like <br />41 (2) Exposed galvanized metals <br />42 (3) Electric fencing <br />43 (4) Any material not typically intended for use or construction as a fence such as, but not <br />44 limited to, pallets or plywood. <br />45 (5) Snow fencing between April 1 and October 31. <br />46 (C) Design Standards <br />47 (1) All posts and support structures for fencing must be located on the inside of the fence. <br />Page 89 of 160 <br />
