1 (1) Fences may be constructed of barbless wire or have the capability to carry an electric charge <br />2 to accommodate agricultural activities and the raising of livestock and animals as defined by <br />3 Chapter 10, Animals. Lots of record as of July 1, 2002, within the MUSA that are currently used <br />4 for agricultural activities or the raising of livestock and animals also qualify under this <br />5 provision. <br />6 (2) Electric fences must be set back a minimum of three feet from property lines and must be <br />7 posted as being electric. Electric fences are only allowed in conjunction with an agricultural <br />8 use in the RR or UR districts. <br />9 {3) A sketch drawing shall be submitted to thc city showing thc proposed location of an electric <br />10 fence. <br />11 (D) Location. Fencing must be located 100 percent on the fence owner's lot and it is the responsibility <br />12 of the fence owner to accurately locate property boundaries. <br />13 (1) For corner lots, no fence shall be located within the vision clearance triangle as described in <br />14 section 117 348. <br />15 {2) The -mining administrator may require thc owncr of thc property upon which a fence will be <br />16 eonstructcd to establish the boundary lines of thc property by a survey thereof to be made <br />17 by any registered land survcyor. <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 500 Business Districts <br />22 <br />23 510 Districts Established and Purpose <br />24 The following businesses districts (B-1, B-2, B-3, 1-1, and 1-2) are hereby established according their <br />25 purpose and the intent of the Comprehensive Plan. Collectively, these five districts are herein this chapter <br />26 called "business districts." The 1-1 and 1-2 districts are collectively called "industrial districts." <br />27 <br />28 511 B-1 Neighborhood Business District <br />29 (A) Purpose. This district is intended to provide a district which encourages compact walkable centers <br />30 for office, retail sales, and personal services that connect to and serve the adjacent neighborhoods <br />31 and to preserve and protect the general character of the adjacent areas. <br />32 (B) Application —This district shall be applied to properties guided Commercial as shown on the current <br />33 Comprehensive Plan. <br />34 <br />35 512 B-2 Community Business District <br />36 (A) Purpose. This district is intended to provide a district for the development of community -scale <br />37 office, retail sales, restaurant, and services functional for both pedestrians and automobiles. <br />38 (B) Application —This district shall be applied to properties guided Commercial as shown on the current <br />39 Comprehensive Plan. <br />40 <br />41 513 3-3 Regional Business District <br />42 (A) Purpose. This district is intended to provide for large-scale commercial development, including <br />43 retail, entertainment, restaurant, and other complementary commercial uses. The district is <br />44 intended to provide a commercial environment that is functional for both pedestrians and <br />45 automobiles serving the community and region. <br />46 (B) Application —This district shall be applied to properties guided Commercial as shown on the current <br />47 Comprehensive Plan. <br />48 <br />49 514 -1 Light Industrial District <br />Page 72 of 160 <br />
