Afterburner fuel will be fuel oil, natural gas or propane. <br /> <br />That both furnaces will be equipped with afterburners and that the height of <br />smokestacks would be 24' above ground for the primary furnace and 28' above <br />ground for the second furnace. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has stated that dross from the aluminum processing <br />operation will be separated after cooling and stored in a trailer until a quantity <br />sufficient for shipment has accumulated. <br /> <br />The Applicant states that he will construct a 41 'x40' building which will house <br />the office, material receiving area and transmission/engine disassembly area. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has stated that storage and metal cutting for feedstock <br />preparation is proposed to be conducted within a fenced area to the rear of the <br />building. <br /> <br />A separate steel structure 40'x48' will house the furnace and will have roll <br />open doors for cooling and access. <br /> <br />That the Council determines that there are two principle structures for the <br />proposed use and no accessory structures. <br /> <br />City Code 9.03.4a Subd. I specifies all exterior wall finishes on any building <br />constructed shall be of material other than metal on at least 50% of the <br />exposed wall where the building is adjacent to any other existing or future <br />structure or street, The Planning Commission, City Council and/or requirements <br />of the State Building code may change the requirements of this paragraph <br />depending on the relative location of the building and surrounding areas. <br /> <br />City Code 9.11.20 Subd. 6 specifies that all exterior wall finishes on any non- <br />residential building shall be: <br /> <br />Face brick <br />Natural stone <br />Precast concrete panels <br />Metal framed panels if panel material is to be of those noted in a.b or c <br />above. <br />Other material as may be approved by the Planning Commission and City <br />Council. <br /> <br /> <br />
