Citizen Input <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik noted that the City received a letter from the Boy Scouts of America <br />stating that they were not in favor of the proposed building size because they feel that the size <br />and location of the proposed pole barn would diminish the wilderness environment. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Dempsey, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Anderson, Commissioners Nixt, Dempsey, Johnson, <br />and Kociscak. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Jensen and Wivoda. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 7:51 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at <br />7:51 p.m. <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that she viewed the property and noted that it is heavily treed, <br />Mr. Rome will only remove enough trees to install the building, and the building will be no <br />closer to the scout camp than the home on the property. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson questioned if there was a particular reason for the size of the building and <br />Mr. Rome stated that he wants to be able to get all of his vehicles under one roof. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Nixt, to recommend that City <br />Council adopt Findings of Fact, in the affirmative, relating to William Rome's request for a <br />conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Amendment by Commissioner Johnson and seconded by Commissioner Nixt to change the <br />wording in item #16 to read "will not adversely impair, in any material respect, the use ......... ". <br /> <br />Amendment carried: Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Anderson, Commissioners <br />Johnson, Nixt Dempsey, and Kociscak. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Jensen and <br />Wivoda. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Anderson, Commissioners Johnson, Nixt, Dempsey, <br />and Kociscak. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Jensen and Wivoda. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Nixt, to recommend that City <br />Council approve William Rome's request for a conditional use permit for an overage in <br />allowable accessory structure space and single building size restrictions based on the findings of <br />fact. <br /> <br />Planning Commission/May 4, 1999 <br /> Page 3 of 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
