Community Development Assistant Walther indicated the fee schedule would be separated from <br />the ordinance. <br /> <br />Commissioner Kociscak stated two dogs per parcel is sufficient in an urban area. Commissioner <br />Jensen and Chairman Anderson concurred. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson stated support for three dogs per parcel. <br /> <br />Commissioner Dempsey inquired if there was a way to have an intermediate process which would <br />allow three dogs per parcel, however, four dogs would require a conditional use permit. <br />Community Development Assistant Walther indicated Zoning Administrator Frolik felt that would <br />be difficult to administer. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sherman indicated response to violations in the dog ordinance <br />is based on resident complaints. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Dempsey, to recommend that City <br />Council adopt an ordinance to retain the two dog restriction on parcels less than 25,000 square <br />feet in size, and parcels exceeding that size may have up to three dogs without a special permit <br />from the City. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Chairman Anderson requested the proposed change to the ordinance, along <br />with the City leash law, be advertised in the Ramsey Resident and on the Cable channel. <br /> <br />Motion Carded.
