Citizen Input <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Wivoda, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Anderson, Commissioners Johnson, Wivoda, Jensen, <br />Kociscak, and Nixt. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Dempsey. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 7:37 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at <br />7:37 p.m. <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated the existing barn is not visible from Green Valley Road and <br />the arena would be only slightly visible as a steep cliff exists adjacent to the road. The arena will <br />be visible from St. Francis Boulevard, but that too will diminish when the parcel in the northwest <br />quadrant of #47 and Green Valley Road develops. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jensen inquired regarding the height restrictions and asked if the application <br />recently approved exceeded height restrictions. Zoning Administrator Frolik stated the height <br />restrictions are 22 feet, however, Mr. Landowski is proposing to building the arena 25.6 feet high. <br />The previously approved application also exceeded the 22 foot height restrictions. She said <br />indoor riding arenas are wide and need the trusses to be higher to accommodate the facility. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Nixt, to recommend that City <br />Council adopt Findings of Fact in the affirmative and approve Greg Landowski's request for a <br />conditional use permit for an overage in allowable accessory structure space and single building <br />size restrictions. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Anderson, Commissioners Johnson, Nixt, Jensen, <br />Kociscak, and Wivoda. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Dempsey. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #2: Request for Site Plan Review; Case of Tradesmen Properties <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated Tradesmen Properties applied for site plan review and <br />approval to construct an office/warehouse facility on Lot 2, Block 1 in the Oakridge Industrial <br />Park. The office/warehouse use is consistent with the permitted uses in the Industrial zoning <br />district. The plan complies with lot coverage, height restrictions, parking requirements, and meets <br />all of the required setbacks from property lines.
