Chairperson Zimmerman stated that the job should be done right the first time through. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that staff needs to make sure that the City has all the <br />documents stating what ACCAP is agreeing to do with the property and that everything isn't just <br />based on discussion. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Kapler noted that it should also be addressed if ACCAP will take care <br />of tapping wells, phone lines, electrical lines, etc. <br /> <br />Case g3 <br /> <br />Update on g116 <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Kapler updated the Public Works Committee on the progress of several <br />issues involving County Highway gl 16. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that in regards to the study of gl 16 from Highway g47, the City <br />has signed their portion of the joint powers agreement. He stated that an appraiser will be hired <br />to appraise the value of the property for the 150-foot right-of-way west of Armstrong Boulevard. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kapler updated that Committee on the status of the Millis <br />access onto gl 16. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Kapler stated that there was some confusing signage near Connexus <br />Energy that said private property and no trespassing. He noted that he has talked to the <br />appropriate people and they agreed that the signs are confusing and agreed to move them to the <br />appropriate locations. <br /> <br />Case g4 <br /> <br />New One-Ton Dump Box and Hoist and Plow Purchase <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Kapler stated that the one-ton track is a new vehicle in the City's fleet. <br />The new maintenance worker who will be hired this year will utilize this truck. Included in the <br />1998 year-end budget transfer was $40,000 to fund this purchase. The truck itself was purchased <br />through the Hennepin County Bid from Albany Ford for $26,544.06. The anticipated delivery <br />date from the dealer is in mid-July. Mr. Kapler noted that additional equipment is needed to <br />complete the truck. This equipment includes a snowplow, hoist, and dump box. Staff placed ads <br />in the local newspapers for this equipment and received bids fi'om three companies. The bid <br />prices were: <br /> <br />King Equipment <br />Crysteel Truck Equipment <br />J-Craft, Inc. <br /> <br />$14,980.00 <br />$13,492.00 <br />$15,121.00 <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Kapler stated that he and Public Works Supervisor Riemer talked with <br />sales representatives from Crysteel and J-Craft and also toured their facilities.
