Councilmember Zimmerman stated that all requests need to be reviewed and listen to the
concerns of the neighborhoods.

Councilmember Connolly stated that after reviewing the intersection of 137th Avenue and Garnet
that it would be appropriate for stop signs to be installed, especially since there is a bust stop at
that intersection. City Engineer Jankowski suggested doing a survey of
the neighborhood next spring to determine what affect the stop signs have had. Councilmember
Connolly questioned if the City has every posted any signs that state "Traffic Study Area". City
Engineer Jankowski responded that he was not aware of any such signs. Director of Public
Works/Fire Chief Kapler explained that the traffic studies are preformed to get a normal picture
of the traffic situation of the area and installing signs stating the study is occurring may not give
an accurate picture of the traffic in the neighborhood.
