Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen to <br />hold an informational meeting - open house type - between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., on <br />Wednesday, April 21, 1999, regarding Sunwood Drive and the ACCAP housing <br />proposal. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Hendriksen, <br />Anderson and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #15: Report from Personnel Committee <br /> <br />1) Authorization to Hire Additional Public Works Maintenance Employee <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen and seconded by Councilmember Haas Steffen to <br />authorize the replacement of the second Public Works Maintenance position. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Haas Steffen, <br />Anderson and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />2) Terms of Office for EDA Members <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen <br />that the terms of office for the EDA members are as follows: Glen Hardin - 1 year; <br />Kenneth Wagner - 2 years; Councilmember Natalie Haas Steffen - 3 years; <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman - 4 years; David Kent - 5 years; Lydia Scheiber - 6 <br />years; and Chris Riley - 6 years, and that City Attorney Goodrich will attend the next <br />EDA meeting and present a Code of Ethics and discuss reasons for people withdrawing <br />from voting and taking action on items. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Hendriksen, <br />Anderson and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #16: Report from Finance Committee <br /> <br />1) Site Selection Fire Station #2 <br /> <br />Fire Chief Kapler explained that the Finance Committee discussed the site for the second <br />fire station and eliminated the 153rd site from the consideration. They also directed that a <br />neutral party be brought in to give an opinion on the locations in that area. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen <br />that the 153rd Avenue site is eliminated from consideration and that a neutral party be <br />brought in to give an opinion on the locations in the area of Armstrong Boulevard and <br />that this party be at the discretion of the City Administrator. <br /> <br />City Council/March 23, 1999 <br /> Page 21 of <br /> <br /> <br />
