Drive there is .23 acres per unit and thc maximum allowed under a single family housing <br />development is 1/3 of an acre. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman stated that he would vote against the project at this time because he <br />does not feel the proposed plan protects the adjacent single family homes. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson stated that she felt Pulte was listening to the concerns of residents, and <br />that there are only very few areas that don't have a great space of distance between the single <br />family homes and the townhomes. <br /> <br />Councilmember Connolly stated that she is not sure if the charter amendment for the transition <br />between the existing housing and the new development would fit or not. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that there has been some homeowners along Sunfish Lake Drive concerned <br />about townhomes being built in the area and he questioned the idea of single family housing <br />being constructed on the southern parcel of Sunwood Drive. He explained that he liked the idea <br />of the mixed development, but requested a better buffer between the townhomes and suggested <br />more single family housing encompassing the townhomes. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec recessed the regular Council meeting at 8:48 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting back to order at 9:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Case B: <br /> <br />Report from Personnel Committee Case #1 <br /> <br />1) Community Development Director's Performance Appraisal <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson explained that the Personnel Committee was recommending the <br />extension of the probationary period for Community Development Director Cindy Sherman for <br />an additional three months since it was staff's error that the review was not done at six months <br />and also due to the significant change within City Council. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Connolly, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to extend the <br />probationary period for Community Development Director Cindy Sherman for three months. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Connolly, Anderson, Hendriksen, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />City Council/August 24, 1999 <br /> Page 11 of 25 <br /> <br /> <br />
