Rick Keeler, Vanman Companies Architects and Builders, stated that the addition would include <br />a family life center with three gym spaces for youth activities and conferences <br /> <br />Councihnember Anderson suggested that they do their very best to adjust the acoustics so the <br />gym area can be used for large groups. <br /> <br />Mr. Keeler replied that they have engaged an acoustic engineer who has come up with a solution <br />to the problem. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired as to the drainage concern. <br /> <br />Mr. Keeler replied that the issue is due to the roof water drainage. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that Lord of Life has been good at working with the Community, not only <br />the church members, and questioned if they will continue to do so with the addition of the gym. <br /> <br />A representative replied yes. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson noted that the Development Permit reads "On July 27, 1999, Site Plan <br />Approval..." and questioned if that was correct or if it is a typo. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied that the Development Permit should read November 9, 1999. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Connolly, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to grant site <br />plan approval to the proposed expansion of Lord of Life Church contingent upon compliance <br />with the City Staff review letter dated November 2, 1999. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if there any plans to expand to the <br />north. Mr. Keeler replied that the master plan is to expand to the south with a larger worship <br />space and adult education. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Connolly, Hendriksen, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #3: Request for Site Plan Review; Case of Connexus Energy Storage Building <br /> <br />Planning Consultant Scazlo stated that Connexus Energy is requesting site plan review for a 200 <br />square foot accessory building to be located on their property at 14601 Ramsey Boulevard NW. <br />The building will house equipment that boosts the amplification of telephone signals in the <br />Ramsey area. The equipment belongs to NorthStar Access, L.L.C, of which Connexus Energy is <br />49% owner. The building will have no significant effect on the Connexus Energy site.
