Employees are eligible for carry over of accrued unused ESST into the following year,but the total of <br /> ESST carry over hours shall not exceed 80 hours. <br /> For the purpose of accumulating additional traditional sick leave and ESST, an employee using earned <br /> vacation leave,paid holidays,compensatory time or sick leave is considered to be working. <br /> Regular part-time employees shall be entitled to combined traditional sick leave and earned sick and safe <br /> time computed by converting their part-time employment to equivalent adjusted full-time service. <br /> 6.3 Holidays <br /> The city of Ramsey recognizes thirteen(13)holidays for non-union employees. Regular <br /> employees are eligible for holiday pay provided they work the day preceding,and the day <br /> following,the holiday,(unless the day(s)off were previously approved by the supervisor). <br /> Regular employees who are scheduled to work the holiday will be given another day off with pay. <br /> Paid holidays include: <br /> 1. New Year's Day January 1 St <br /> 2. Martin L King Day 3rd Monday in January <br /> 3. President's Day 3rd Monday in February <br /> 4. Memorial Day Last Monday in May <br /> 5. Juneteenth June 19th <br /> 6. Independence Day July 4th <br /> 7. Labor Day 1 St Monday in September <br /> 8. Veteran's Day November 11 th <br /> 9. Thanksgiving Day 4th Thursday in November <br /> 10. Friday after Thanksgiving Day (Non-union,AFSCME and LELS Captains only) <br /> 11. Christmas Eve December 24th <br /> 12. Christmas Day December 25th <br /> 13. *Eight Hour Floating Holiday To be used Jan. 1 to Dec.31 <br /> All employees in full-time regular positions are entitled to time off with full pay on holidays. The <br /> City shall be closed for business on each such holiday,but employees may be required to work on <br /> paid holidays when the nature of their duties or other conditions requires them to do so. <br /> Regular part-time employees are eligible to earn paid holidays in proportion to that earned by <br /> regular full-time employees based on the number of hours worked during and given pay period in <br /> which the holiday is paid. .Paid holidays will count <br /> toward total budgeted work hours for the year. <br /> If an approved holiday falls on a day a part-time employee is not scheduled to work,the employee <br /> must take the paid holiday leave during the same pay period in which the holiday occurred. <br /> Employees may be required to work on paid holidays when the nature of their duties or other <br /> conditions require them to do so.A non-exempt,non-union employee required to work on a <br /> holiday shall receive their full pay for the holiday,as well as a minimum of 2-hours pay at a rate of <br /> 371Page <br />
