Voting yes <br />Voting no <br /> <br />~. ., <br />. . <br /> <br />CASE #6: ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF PLANS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #83-2.: <br /> <br />Council, at the February 22, 1983 meeting, heard the public hearing on <br />this case but tabled action until March 22, 1983 when all Councilmembers <br />would be present. please refer to your previous agenda of February 22, <br />1983 for documents pertaining to this case. Also, please refer to enclosure <br />(A-2) and (A-3) of this agenda. <br /> <br />Council will also have to set the date they want to call for bids but we <br />should get it resolved with the City Attorney and City Engineer as to how <br />they are coming along acquiring easements on this project so we don't get <br />into an administrative bind on this issue. <br /> <br />Council Action: Your action will be to either deny the project or adopt <br />- the proposed resolution ordering improvement and the preparation of plans <br />and specifications and call for bids. Voting yes <br />Voting no <br /> <br />CASE #7: REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF PRELIMINARY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) <br />FUNDING TO BE USED IN DEVELOPMENT OF METHANE ENERGY FOR INDUSTRIAL USE: <br /> <br />Enclosure (D2-f) contains the preliminary community development block grant <br />project request and my memo to Mayor Gamec dated March 3, 1983 and attached <br />supplemental study to research options for utilization of landfill gas, <br />currently emitted by the Anoka Landfill dated February 25, 1983 prepared <br />by Perennial Energy, Inc. It is anticipated that we will receive $41,730 <br />in 1983 in CDBG funds. These funds will be for the use of methane energy <br />in the Ramsey Industrial Area and at th{s time Waltek, Inc. will be the <br />major benefiting industry from it. Also contained in the above enclosure is <br />a letter from Anoka County with the revised schedule for application. <br />Council Action: Your action will be to adopt a resolution stating that <br />your 1983 CDBG funds will be used in the area of economic development here <br />in the City of Ramsey which will be consistent with the above proposed <br />preliminary project request form which is enclosed in the above enclosure. <br />If Councilmembers have any problem with the preliminary project request, <br />please state what they are so we can make appropriate amendments.
