' Mr. Miller stated that the groundwater study is proceeding; there was some <br />delay caused by pump lubricants contaminating the samplings taken in early <br />Spring; the due date of the study has been extended from August to December. <br />Mr. Miller stated that there is a September 1 deadline to seed any grass areas <br />' that did not grow over the summer, the remainder of the north slope and the <br />south slope. <br />' Mr. Miller stated that Waste Management is still reviewing, with Metro Council <br />and MPCA, the possibility of a composting site being located at the landfill <br />site. There has not been any further discussion regarding a fall clean up day <br />in Ramsey. <br />Mr. Miller stated that Waste Management of Minnesota will be testifying to the <br />Legislative Commission on Waste Management regarding their financial <br />responsibilities; copies of that testimony will be provided to this Committee. <br />Case U. Comments And D Rrn sion Regarding Anoka C o u nty Was <br />Plans te es <br />Digr>ation <br />Committee noted receiving copies of the Anoka County Waste Designation plan. <br />Mr. McCulley stated that he has discussed abatement with Mr. Haselberger; Mr. <br />Haselberger informed him that there are cities with portions of programs in <br />place but there is no city with a complete program in operation. Mr. McCulley <br />stated that Mr. Haselberger suggested that Ramsey proceed with abatement as <br />simply as possible and step by step, i.e., begin by hiring a person to set up <br />an education process and fall clean up day. <br />Chairman LeLeux requested that Mr. McCulley prepare a written proposal for this <br />Committees review regarding the establishing of a city -wide abatement program. <br />Ms. Sitz suggested that City Staff be requested to approach the City of Fridley <br />regarding any publicity items they might have on 'Route Back Op'. <br />Mr. DeLuca stated that this Committee's recommendation for an abatement program <br />has been on City Council's agenda twice and been tabled. <br />Case #5: Discussion Of Market Study AaAjyAjjLpro _ a Draft- <br />The Committee proceeded to review and amend the market stud analysis proposal <br />draf t. <br />Motion by Mr. Wentura and seconded by Mr. Pearson to accept the market study <br />analysis proposal draft with the following amendments: <br />Part I, Local Comparisons, should read as follows: <br />August 5, 1985 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />
