PRIfjE=NGS OF THE <br />PER SCNN F L •D <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />•. • CO UNTY <br />STATE E. v <br />A Personnel Oommittee meeting was held on Friday, August 9, 1985 at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: Oxmcilmember Gary Reimann <br />ODuncilmember Al Sorteberg <br />Also Present: City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />Director of Technical Services Clayton Berg <br />CALL M HM <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:37 a.m. <br />CITIZEN II1P[lf <br />None. <br />APPROVAL OF AGf�IDA <br />Committee consensus was to accept the agenda as submitted. <br />Case #1: Cbana no Of J b Ti l Of *eJ Lnoo,ntanr TD Fin n, w Officer <br />Mr. Schelle stated that Mr. Graczyk has accepted the City's offer for <br />employment but has requested that the job title be changed from Chief <br />Accountant to Finance Officer. Mr. Schnelle stated that the duties and salary <br />schedule will not change with the title of Finance officer. <br />Oouncilmember Reimann asked if there will be a contract with Mr. Graczyk. <br />Mr. Schnelle replied that Mr. Graczyk will fall into the union unless there is <br />a petition to have him taken out of the union. <br />Oouncilmenber Reiman stated that department heads should not be union because <br />they are supervisory personnels it is just a union play to get more members. <br />Mr. Berg stated that Councilmember Reimann did not make his position know <br />during the cation hearing. <br />Oouncilmenber Reiman stated that it is better to have a contract with new <br />employees to lay the groundwork. <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that he doesn't think this is the appropriate time and <br />place to discuss union issues. <br />August 9, 1985 <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
