<br />5 Minutes <br /> <br />Case #~ <br /> <br />RECEIVE BIDS FOR THE 1988 SEAL COATING <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />By: Pete Raatikka, city Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />By the time of the June 28, 1988 council meeting, bids will have been <br />received for the proposed 1988 Sealcoating Improvement. The council <br />should review these bids at that time. I will also prepare a letter <br />of recommendation on the award of the bids for your meeting. <br /> <br />As part of the 1988 seal coating projects, 155th Avenue and Variolite <br />street are Municipal state Aid streets and require plan approval by <br />MnjDOT prior to the award of the bids. Also, the developer's in <br />River's Bend will have to pay for the balance of the sealcoating <br />project in River's Bend which has not been escrowed. Therefore, the <br />award of the project should be contingent on MnjDOT approval of plans <br />and payment of the unescrowed balance in River's Bend by the <br />developer. <br /> <br /> <br />Enclosed is a draft of the proposed resolution for your adoption.
