I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I CASE #4: REQUEST FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT A MINI STORAGE FACILITY; CASE OF HR. DAVID IAYMOND By: Anne Norria. Community Development Director Background: Mr. David Raymond of Nationwide Housing Corporation is requesting a conditional use permit to construct a mini storage facility at 6615 Highway #10 NW in the B-1 Business District. Mr. Raymond is proposing to construct six one-story mini storage buildings and to pave all the driveways into and between the buildings. Mr. Raymond is proposing to cover approximately 30% of the property with buildings including the existing house on the site. The property is also located within the Critical Rivers Corridor and Mr. Raymond's proposal includes a request for a variance from impervious surface coverage. Enclosed are the following items for your consideration: a) Application b) Site location map c) Public hearing notice d) Properties notified e) Letter dated April 22, 1986 from Mr. David Raymond f) Proposed site plan g) Proposed findings of fact h) Proposed conditional use permit agreement Observations: Mr. Raymond's site is within the clear zone easement for the alternative runway for the proposed airport expansion. Clear zone designation would curtail future development within that zone. At present. the alternative runway alignment is pending FAA review and approval. The City anticipates receiving notice of FAA's decision on the alternate runway by June 1.1986. As the status of the runways is unknown at this time, Staff recommends continuing Mr. Raymond's case to the June 3. 1986 meeting. Recommendation: Commission Action: Motion to: Continue Mr. David Raymond's request for a conditional use permit to the June 3. 1986 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.
