Absent: Councilmember Elvig. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Name Park Spaces within Town Center <br /> <br />ParkslUtilities Supervisor Riverblood reviewed that at the June 8, 2006 joint Park and Recreation <br />Commission and City Council meeting, names for the several park spaces within the Town <br />Center was discussed. The consensus of those in attendance was that formalized names should <br />be in place as these areas are being developed. A motion was made by the Park and Recreation <br />Commission to connect all the park spaces within the Town Center as 'Commons". He indicated <br />a map is included in the Council's packet and reviewed the following recommended park names: <br />Meandering Commons, Village Square Commons, Downtown Commons, North Commons, and <br />Rhinestone Commons. <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey suggested Downtown Commons be replaced with the name Town <br />Square Commons. <br /> <br />City Council / July 11,2006 <br />Page 4 of 13 <br />
