Architectural Standards: The accessory building is proposed to be sided with vinyl siding like the home and principal building of the business. 6. Access: The access to the accessory building will be an extension of the existing concrete access to the principal building. 7. Floodway: No portion of the lot is within a Floodway, however, the rear of the property is impacted by a protected wetland. The elevation of the principal building is 5 feet above the ordinary high water elevation of the protected wetland and the accessory building should maintain the same elevation as the principal building. City staff is also recommending that silt fence, be utilized during construction of the building to protect the wetland. 8. Drainage: The survey prepared by James Kyro shows the proposed building is located within 45 feet of the protected wetland. Drainage from the site is toward the wetland. The wetland should be protected from erosion and sedimentation during construction. Silt fence is recommended.' After construction, vegetation should be re-established prior to the removal of the silt fence. It is encouraged to have as little mowed area around the storage shed as possible. This will provide a buffer area which will protect the wetland water quality. The Planning Commission will be meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 1997 to consider your request for site plan approval. You or your representative should be at the meeting to answer any questions that may arise. I am enclosing a copy of the case cover sheet for your information.
