trip to China, this partnership with our sister city has proven to be a positive
exchange of economic and cultural ideas. The Sister City partnership between
Ramsey and Loudi was made possible by the creation of the City of Ramsey
Foundation.

Lake Itasca Room-Second Floor Administration Conference Room 5214
Take a walk along Itasca Trail, and you will see one of Ramsey's best kept
secrets, Lake Itasca. Surrounded by prairie and forest, these waters are calm
and peaceful. A walk along Itasca Trail not only brings you by Lake Itasca, but
miles of prairie, forest, and wetland, a great escape from the urban environment,
right in our own back yard.

Rum River Room-Building InsDection Conference Room F154 (non-Dublic)
Creating the eastern boundary of the City of Ramsey is the winding, bending
Rum River. This slow paced, winding river is another great escape for recreation
such as boating and fishing. Rum River Central Park is..a great place to start a
canoeing adventure. River's Bend Park to the south is a great place to cast the
reel of a fishing pole, take a walk through native prairie, or playa game of
softball or soccer on the athletic fields, a perfect mix of urban and rural
character.

--
Ford Brook Room-Police Conference Room F203 (non-Dublic)
Along St. Francis Blvd. to the north, Ford Brook can be found flowing and
eventually connecting to Trott Brook.

Sunfish Lake Room-Engineering Conference Room (non-Dublic)
Tucked amongst the houses of the southeast quarter of the city is another of
Ramsey's 'hidden gems.' Look closely as you drive along Sunfish Lake Blvd. and
you may see Sunfish Lake. This natural body of water is a treasure not seen
often in your typical neighborhood. The site of a former home on the corner of
Sunfish Lake Blvd. and Sunwood Dr. was donated to the city as park property.

Other opportunities: This will be the third 'headquarters' for Ramsey. After
incorporation into the City of Ramsey in 1974, the city moved to its second
facility on Nowthen Blvd., where it stayed until 2006. Prior to that, all
operations/ including public works/ were stationed along St. Francis Blvd./ just
north of Bunker Lake Blvd. The original Public Works campus has since been
redeveloped and is currently the location of a bank and Public Works currents
sits in the industrial district just off of Ramsey Blvd. Next door to the old Public
Works campus/ however, the original town hall still stands, protected by historic
building designation. Could Council Chambers provide this history somehow?
