SEGMENT 3 - CENTRAL

\<
~
o 1000
I I

Segment 3 is approximately 1 mile in length. This segment begins at the intersection of
1381h Avenue and Riverdale Drive and terminates at the east end of Rivlyn Avenue. This
segment is broken upinto 3 parts as follows. Reference Appendix Sheets 5 and 6 of 8.

1. The first part of segment 3 is approximately 3,500 lineal feet long adjacent to
Riverdale Drive, starting at the intersection of 1381h Avenue and Riverdale Drive
and ending approximately 600 feet west of Tungsten Street NW. This would
include a 10 foot bituminous trail on the south side of Riverdale drive.

The proposed trail location is adjacent to commercial businesses for the first
1200 feet, undeveloped property for the next 1200 feet and single family
homes for the remainder of the route. The west 1000 feet of this portion has 66
feet of right of way while the remainder has an 80 foot right of way. The
existing street has a paved width of 44 feet.

Construction of this part of segment 3 could include fence relocation, hydrant
relocation and reconstruction or restriping within the Riverview Bowl parking lot.

Considering the width of this street with 10 foot shoulders, it would be possible
to stripe and sign the street for an on-street trail. ' On-street trails are less
desirable because of traffic conflicts; however this street Can provide enough
shoulder width.

Page 10

28
