This alternate would include a 300 foot long 1 o foot bituminous trail <br />along the north side of the City-owned King Memorial Park. This <br />segment would provide a connection between the existing route along <br />Porter Avenue and the Cutters Grove Trail, at the northwest corner of the <br />park. <br /> <br />e. Another alternate in this area -would be a trail along Park 'Street from <br />Porter Avenue to the Levee Avenue area. At the Levee Avenue <br />intersection this trail will connect to the existing sidewalk on the south <br />side of Park Street. This segment would include a 5 foot trail on the <br />south side of Park Street. <br /> <br />. Park Street has a right of way of 66 feet over the west 800 feet from west <br />of Fairoak Court to Levee Avenue, the right of way is to 49.5 feet forthe <br />westerly 1950 feet, and widens to 57.75 feet for the easterly 250 feet. <br />The existing street width, beginning atthe west end is 44 feet for the first <br />500 feet, then 24 feet for the next 2,400 feet, where it widens to 28 <br />feet. The segment of Park Street that is only 24 feet wide will likely be <br />widened in the future to either the City Standard of 30 feet or the State <br />Aid minimum of 32 feet. The trail should be placed in a location that will <br />accommodate the future roadway. There is a 900 foot portion of this <br />segment, proceeding westward from Cressy Avenue that has some <br />significant trees on the south side Park Street. <br /> <br />Construction of this trail will include removal of some large trees, the <br />relocation of utility pedestals, along with construction of3,OOO feet of5 <br />foot wide trail. <br /> <br />f. This alternate trail segment in this area is along Porter Avenue starting at <br />Park Street and ending at Benton Street. <br /> <br />This segment would be a connection between the proposed tr.oil on <br />Benton Street and Kings Park, there is also an existing sidewalk from <br />Kings Park to Highway 10 along Fairoak Avenue. This segment would <br />include a 5 foot trail on the west side-of Porter Avenue. <br /> <br />Benton Street has a right-of-way of 60 feet and a paved surface of 28 <br />Page 19 <br /> <br />37 <br />
