Councilmember Peterson in_ueed the following resolution and mov6 its adoption: RESOLUTION #93-11-268 RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL TO THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL THE PROPOSED MAJOR COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT DATED OCTOBER 20, 1993. WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is required to develop a comprehensive plan for the future planning and development of the City; and WHEREAS, the City has completed a Major Comprehensive Plan Amendment expanding the MUSA to include Urban Reserve Area of the City; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on November 4, 1993 to receive input concerning the proposed amendment; and --",-- WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended the submittal of the proposed amendment NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Staff is authorized to submit the proposed comprehensive plan amendment with the understanding that there will be a forthcoming update to the Transportation Plan. 2) That the City Administrator is hereby directed to meet with the Metropolitan Council Staff to acquire the ability to expand the MUSA and gain approval of the comprehensive plan amendment 3) That a certified copy of this resolution be forwarded to Metropolitan Council. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Hardin and upon vote being taken thereon. the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gilbertson Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Hardin and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Zimmerman whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 9th day of November 1993. _ dD1/<2L-.gd:!f::--~ ,yr;Lu ~ City Administrator
