For systems equipped with a distribution and /or dosing <br />box, the owner shall arrange for the opening of the box and <br />removal of any settled solids therein at least once a year. At <br />the time of cleaning, the plumbing inspector shall certify that <br />scum and /or sludge levels have been reduced to acceptable levels. <br />Scheduling Notification <br />The plumbing inspector or his designated representative shall <br />maintain a detailed record of all routine cleaning and <br />inspections and shall notify the entire City semi - annually of the <br />need for routine maintenance of their on -site systems. <br />Individual Responsib ilities <br />Access <br />It shall be the duty of the owner or occupant of the property to <br />maintain all weather access to the system and give free access to <br />the property at reasonable times for the purpose of effecting <br />scheduled maintenance as outlined in Section 150.01.6A. <br />System Repairs <br />At such time that the owner observes a malfunction of the system, <br />the owner shall immediately notify the plumbing inspector of the <br />problems. Required maintenance shall be arranged for by the <br />owner to maintain proper system operation. <br />Costs <br />Routine Maintenance <br />Costs incurred for such routine cleaning as referred to in <br />Section 150.01.6 shall be borne by the property owner. <br />Non— Routine Maintenance <br />All other costs incurred to maintain system operability shall be <br />directly absorbed by the owner. <br />Disposal <br />Disposal of tank pumping, box cleaning, or other material shall <br />be at agency - approved locations. Distribution box cleanings may <br />be disposed of in the individual disposal system, provided the <br />system's operation is not hindered by so doing. <br />Systems Inventory <br />The plumbing inspector shall create, update, and maintain an <br />accurate inventory of all individual sewage disposal systems <br />within the Ramsey corporate limits.
