<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Age Trends and Distribution <br /> <br />The population between the ages of 35 to 54 comprised the majority of the population <br />growth that occurred in the 1980s. This population group represents residents who have <br />stayed in the community as well as new residents, who have moved into the community, <br />many of whic};l brought with them middle school and high school aged children. <br />Although the age group 0 to 5 has decreased in numbers since 1980, Ramsey continues to <br />be one of the younger communities in the area. In Ramsey, less than 2 % of the <br />population is 65 or older and the median age is 28.2 compared to 5.6% of Anoka County <br />residents who are seniors and the median age of Anoka County, which is 29.9.
