The Planning and Zoning Commission should deal with the <br />following areas 0= the Implementation Plan: <br /> <br />a. The area's existing land ~se sho~ld be looked at in light <br />of the following: <br /> <br />1. organized land use to capitalize on community <br />resources and amenities <br /> <br />2. Allow for diversity in land use funding on Trunk <br />Eighway 10 <br /> <br />3. situate similar land uses into identifiable areas <br /> <br />4. Rei nf 0 r c e ex i s tin g and pro p 0 sed s p e c i f i c <br />improvements <br /> <br />5. Allow for a variety of Industrial D~velopment areas <br />commensurate with future market potential <br /> <br />6. Establish an appropriate buffer between incompatible <br />land uses <br /> <br />b. The City's zoning designation should be brought into <br />compliance with proposed land use plans <br /> <br />c. Strip commercial properties should be unified and <br />maintained <br /> <br />1. Make recommendations regarding enforcement of zoning <br />code which will be needed in achieving the. unity <br />desired by the city. <br /> <br />d. Integrated landscaping, lighting and signing <br /> <br />1. To review the above to further bring about a unity <br />of commercial properties <br /> <br />2. Standards and ordinances for such should be adopted, <br />implemented and enforced. <br /> <br />e. Review commercial signing on Trunk Highway 10 <br /> <br />1. Recommend what areas of highway signage should be <br />restricted and what zoning codes should be in place to <br />regulate highway si~nage. <br /> <br />3.
