He asked if their office could forward this to the County Board. <br /> <br />I <br />Mr. Johnson replied that it would be good to get something like this moving <br />and that the County could possibly work with Senator Anderson to effect something <br />on a State level. <br /> <br /> <br />Letters & Communications <br />Mayor Cox asked Mr. Walker to contact Community School Department for a Fall <br />program. <br /> <br />Mr. Walker replied that he had been contacted earlier by Jim Stewart on this. <br /> <br />Old Business _1 <br />Fire Contract, Elk River. Discussion on area served by Elk River. Mayor Cox <br />asked that a map depicting the area be placed in the next newsletter. <br /> <br />Motion by Gorham, seconded by Reimann to contract with the City of El k Ri ver <br />for fire protection dated the 26th day of July 1976. <br />Motion carried 4 to 0 <br /> <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Engineer1s letter on Reilley Estates. Read and noted. A cash bond and the <br />performance contract with the City of Ramsey and Reilley Estates was discussed. <br /> <br />Brief recess. Meeting called back to order at 9:50 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox proclaimed August 19, 1976, as Youth Volunteer Recognition Day. <br />This item will be on the August 9th Agenda. <br /> <br />Reilley Estates Attorney Goodrich read the past minutes pertaining to the <br />Reilley Estates of April 14, 1975, the minutes on file at City Hall. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Gorham, seconded by Councilman Reimann, to enter into <br />a performance contract with the Miller Real Estate Company final plat known <br />as Reilley Estates with a cash escrow deposit of $4,900.00. <br />Motion carried 5 to 0 <br /> <br />Mo~ion by Councilman Gorham, secondedhy 'Councilman Reimann to enter into an <br />escrow agreement with Miller Real Estate Company final plat know as Reilley <br />Estates for a sum of $2,400.00 to guarantee future dedication of park land. <br />Motion carried 5 to 0 <br /> <br />Resolution No. 13. <br />Estates. <br />Motion by Councilman <br />Resolution No. 13. <br /> <br />A Resolution to approve the final plat known as Reilley <br />Mickelson, seconded by Councilman Gorham to approve <br /> <br />i <br />i <br />r. <br /> <br />-'!" <br /> <br />Mayor Cox Aye <br />Councilman Gorham Aye <br />Councilman M"ickelson Aye <br />Councilwoman Oliphant Aye <br />Councilman Reimann Aye <br /> <br />~otipn by Councilman Reimann, seconded,by Councilman Mickelson to grant the <br />Metro Council an extension on their review of our Urban Planning Study <br />until September 30, 1976. <br /> <br />~.. . <br /> <br />[-:y <br /> <br />Motion carried 5 to 0 <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich and Mayor Cox discussed the landfill question. It is the <br />consensus of the City Council that Mayor Cox and Attorney Goodrich are to continue <br />the negotiations with the City of Anoka. <br /> <br />Doug Walton, Dog Catcher's resignation. <br />Motion by Councilman Gorham, seconded by Councilman Mickelson to accept the <br />resignation of Mr. Doug Walton as the City's dog catcher. <br />Motion carried 5 to 0 <br /> <br />City to advertise for a dog catcher as soon as possible. <br /> <br />Final approval of Rum Acres 2nd Addition, Outlot A. <br />Motion by Councilman Gorham, seconded by Councilman Mickelson to approve the final <br />plat of Rum Acres 2nd Addition, Outlot A subject to review by the City attorney <br />
