<br />. <br /> <br />I. <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />Olairman Greenberg stated that land acquisition could be considered for a <br />crucial piece of property in the southeast corner of Ramsey's industrial <br />area, the Etienne property; this piece of property is for sale and a key <br />piece in the orderly developnent of Ramsey's industrial area. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris suggested that money could be used to make low interest loans to <br />developers that would develop that property according to the City's <br />specifications; it could be like a revolving fund -- as the money is paid <br />back to the Ci ty it would be used for further economic developnent. <br /> <br />Oommissioner Fults stated that using CDBG funds to further developnent on <br />Hwy. 47 would have a better chance as that area already has a good start. <br /> <br />Motion by Oommissioner Cox and seconded by Commissioner Muller to recommend <br />that Oommunity Developnent Block Grant Funds be considered for use in one <br />of the two following alternatives: <br /> <br />1) Acquisition of Industrial land. <br /> <br />2) 'IO assist with financing that would appear to be feasible for the <br />stimulation of developnent east of Hwy. 47 on the southern end of <br />Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Olairman Greenberg, Commissioners Miller, <br />Muller, Fults, Oox, Wagner, Vevea, Hardin. Voting No: None. Absent: <br />Oommissioners Schneider and Schmidt. <br /> <br />Case #3: Goals Of Ramsey Economic Developnent Oompany: <br /> <br />Oommission reviewed goals of Ramsey Economic Developnent Oompany prepared <br />by the Executive Subcommittee. <br /> <br />Olairman Greenberg noted that purchase of the Etienne property and a <br />railroad overpass were high on the priority list. <br /> <br />Case #4: Status Of Ramsey Economic Developnent OoIIlpany: <br /> <br />Oommission noted memo from Ms. Norris and William Goodrich dated November <br />5, 1984 regarding the status of the Ramsey Economic Developnent Oompany. <br /> <br />Oommissioner Fults stated that the Oompany's first project should be <br />something very visible that will gain Public support. <br /> <br />Oommissioner Oox stated that a YM~ facility would be very visible and <br />utilized by many people. <br /> <br />Case #5: Filling Of Jack Schneider's Position On '!he IDC: <br /> <br />Motion by Oommissioner Oox and seconded by Commissioner Muller to accept <br />Mr. Jack Schneider's resignation from the EDC and to authorize City Staff <br />to advertise to fill the unexpired term of Mr. Schneider. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Olairman Greenberg, Commissioners Vevea, <br />Miller, Muller, Cox, FUlts, Hardin, Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Page 4 of 6 <br />
