Delaney to <br />exchange ideas regarding the1r concerns and the City's concerns regard1ng <br />supporting the Game Fair and promoting Ramsey's identity. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman <br />Fults, Hardin, Gorecki and Kurak. <br />Commissioners Muller, Vevea and Wagner. <br /> <br />Greenberg, Commissioners Ippel, <br />Voting No: None. Absent: <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Hardin and seconded by Commissioner Ippel directing <br />Ms. Norris to draft letters of apprec1ation to Charles and Loral I. <br />Delaney, Carl Garaffa and Art Raudio for their efforts in making it <br />possible for the City to have a booth at the Game Fair. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Greenberg, Commissioners Ippel, <br />Fults, Hardin, Gorecki and Kurak. Voting No: None. Absent: <br />Commissioners Muller, Vevea and Wagner. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding ways to promote Ramsey's identity. They also <br />discussed ways to promote awareness of Ramsey businesses in the Ramsey <br />Resident Newsletter. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Fults and seconded by Commissioner Kurak to appoint <br />Commissioner Ippel as Chairman of the Publicity Subcommittee and that the <br />Publicity Subcommittee begin to prov1de art1cles for the Ramsey Resident <br />Newsletter that will increase public awareness of Ramsey's commercial/ <br />industrial base. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman <br />Fults, Hardin, Gorecki and Kurak. <br />Commissioners Muller, Vevea and Wagner. <br /> <br />Greenberg, Commissioners Ippel, <br />Voting No: None. Absent: <br /> <br />d) Business Incubator Subcommittee - <br /> <br />Commissioner Fults stated he talked with someone who has expertise in the <br />area of incubator f1nancing and he is willing to review Ramsey's incubator <br />project if and when it is proposed. <br /> <br />Case #2: Discussion Regarding Star City Work Program: <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg stated that he, Ms. Norris and Commissioners Wagner and <br />Gorecki (Star City Administrative Subcommittee) have met and determ1ned that <br />they feel EDC has the capability to manage the star city program but <br />assistance is needed in gathering information and doing the legwork. <br />Chairman Greenberg stated that this star c1ty adm1nistrative subcommittee <br />1S recommend1ng that rather than going for competitive bids, the original <br />plan to hire an econom1c development intern be followed through. <br />Econom1c Development Commission/September 9, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />
