<br />POLITICAL CAMPAIGN
<br />
<br />SIGN REGULATIONS
<br />
<br />The posting of campaign signs by a bona fide candidate for
<br />political office or by persons or groups promoting a pOlitical
<br />issue requires the payment of a $30.00 fee at the Ramsey
<br />Municipal Center. Campaign signs are limited to a maximum
<br />of 32 square feet and must be removed within seven days
<br />following the election.
<br />
<br />FILING FOR OFFICE
<br />
<br />Notice is hereby given that the City of Ramsey will accept
<br />affidavits of candidacy for the office of Mayor for a two year
<br />term and two (2) Council-at-Iarge positions, each for a four
<br />year term. Filing for office opens at 8:30 a.m. August 28, 1990
<br />and closes at 5:00 p.m. September 11,1990. A fee of $5:00
<br />is to be paid at the time of filing.

<br />1990 ELECTIONS

<br />FILINGS FOR MAYOR
<br />
<br />AND CITY COUNCIL
<br />
<br />The State Primary election will be held on September 11 and
<br />the State General Election will be held on November 6. Filing
<br />for the positions of Mayor and two Council member at-large
<br />seats will open on August 28 and will close on September 11
<br />at 5:00 p.m. Any eligible person may become a candidate for
<br />the position of Mayor (two year term) or Councilmember (four
<br />year term) by filing an affildavit with the City Administrator bet-
<br />ween August 28 and September 11 at City Hall. In order to file
<br />for candidacy the candidate must be an eligible voter, be 21
<br />years of age or older and have maintained residency in the City
<br />for 30 days before the General Election. A fee of $5.00 is to
<br />be paid at the time of filing.
<br />
<br />Campaign signs may be placed in any district and the max-
<br />imum size allowed is 32 square feet. Candidates must pay a
<br />sign permit fee of $30.00. Such signs must be removed within
<br />seven days following the election.
<br />

<br />ABSENTEE BALLOTS
<br />
<br />Absentee ballots for the Primary Election on September 11,
<br />1990 have been available at the Anoka County Auditor's Office
<br />since Monday, August 13,1990. Voters may register to vote
<br />absentee with proper identification. The Auditor's Office will
<br />be open for absentee voting Monday through Friday from 8:00
<br />a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with extended hours on Saturday,
<br />September 8,1990 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Monday,
<br />September 10, 1990 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. If you have
<br />any questions regarding absentee voting, call the Auditor's Of-
<br />fice at 421-4760, extension 1140.

<br />The City of Ramsey has an immediate opening for a FT posi-
<br />tion of Secretary. Duties include typing, transcription and word
<br />processing. Desired qualifications include being detail-
<br />oriented, accurate and competent in ability to produce error-
<br />free work. This position will be responsible for taking minutes
<br />at approximately six evening meetings per month. To be
<br />considered, qualified applicants must be able to take minutes
<br />using shorthand, speedwriting, or personal speedwriting with
<br />proficiency. Previous experience with Macintosh helpful.
<br />Salary range $6.22 - $7.78 per hour depending on qualifica-

<br />The City of Ramsey, population 13,000 is currently seeking
<br />applicants to fill the FT position of Senior Accountant. Duties
<br />include maintaining financial and accounting systems, super-
<br />vising the City's financial reports, and assisting in budget
<br />preparation. To be considered, qualified applicants must
<br />possess strong technical skills and leadership qualities, a B.S.
<br />in Accounting or Finance, and municipal accounting and/or
<br />audit experience. Salary range depends on qualifications. Call
