<br />GENERAL ELECTION DAY
<br />
<br />Tuesday, November 6, 1990
<br />
<br />7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
<br />
<br />You are eligible to vote if you are 18 years of age
<br />or older, a citizen of the United States, and have
<br />resided in Minnesota for 20 days. You may register
<br />to vote on the day of the election with one of the
<br />following required identification:
<br />
<br />1. Valid driver's license of learner's permit (or
<br />receipt for either) showing correct/current ad-
<br />dress in the precinct.
<br />2. Valid Minnesota non-qualification card (or
<br />receipt) showing correct/current address in
<br />precinct (carried mainly by senior citizens and
<br />non-drivers)
<br />3. Notice of ineffective registration showing the ad-
<br />dress of the voter in the precinct.
<br />4. Valid registration in the same precinct (applies
<br />only if the voter has moved within the same
<br />precinct.)
<br />5. College students may use any of the following
<br />which show their address in the precinct:
<br />-Current student fee statement.
<br />-Current student identification card.
<br />-Current student registration card.
<br />6. Oath of a registered voter in the same precinct
<br />or a voter who registered on election day with
<br />proper 10.
<br />
<br />ASSISTANCE TO
<br />HANDICAPPED VOTERS
<br />
<br />All polling places must meet accessibilty standards
<br />unless no available building can be made accessi-
<br />ble. Voters who are unable to enter a polling place
<br />may, with the assistance of two election judges of
<br />different political parties, register and vote without
<br />leaving their vehicles.

<br />ABSENTEE BALLOTS
<br />
<br />Absentee ballots for the General Election on
<br />November 6, 1990 are available at the Anoka County
<br />Auditor's Office. Voters may register to vote
<br />absentee with proper identification. The Auditor's Of-
<br />fice will be open for absentee voting Monday through
<br />Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with extended
<br />hours on Saturday, November 3, 1990 from 8:00
<br />a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Monday, November 5, 1990
<br />from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. If you have any ques-
<br />tions regarding absentee voting, call the Auditor's
<br />Office at 421-4760, extension 1140.
