<br />GENERAL ELECTION DAY <br /> <br />November 8, 1988 <br /> <br />You are eligible to vote if you are 18 years of age <br />or older, a citizen of the United States and a resi- <br />dent of Minnesota for at least 20 days. You may <br />register to vote on the day of the election, however, <br />the following authorized identification is necessary: <br /> <br />1. Driver's license or receipt showing correct <br />address. <br />2. Learner's permit or receipt showing correct <br />address. <br />3. Minnesota identification card showing correct <br />address. <br />4. "Notice of ineffective registration." <br />5. Valid registration in the same precinct at another <br />address. <br />6. College students may use any of the following <br />which show their address in the precinct: <br />-Student fee statement <br />-Student identification card <br />-Student registration card <br />7. Oath of a voter registered in the same precinct. <br /> <br />You may not use: <br />1. Tax statements. <br />2. Checkbooks. <br />3. Mortgages. <br /> <br />ABSENTEE BALLOTS FOR <br /> <br />GENERAL ELECTION <br /> <br />AVAILABLE <br /> <br />Absentee Ballots for the General Election on November 8th <br />are available at the Anoka County Auditor's Office. Voters <br />may register to vote with proper identification when voting <br />absentee. The Auditor's office will be open for absentee <br />voting Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., <br />with extended hours on Saturday, November 5 from 8:00 <br />a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Monday, November 7 from 8:00 a.m. <br />to 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />ASSISTANCE TO <br /> <br />HANDICAPPED VOTERS <br /> <br />All polling places must meet accessibility standards unless <br />no available building can be made accessible. Voters who <br />are unable to enter a polling place may, with the assistance <br />of two election judges of different political parties, register <br />and vote without leaving their vehicles. <br /> <br />WHERE TO VOTE <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey is divided into the three precincts shown <br />on the map on page 4. Precinct #1 residents vote at the <br />Ramsey Elementary School at 15000 Nowthen Blvd. N.W. <br />Precinct #2 residents vote at the Ramsey Municipal Center <br />at 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W. Precinct #3 residents vote <br />at the St. Anthony Gun Club at 16128 Variolite Street N.W. <br />The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for the <br />September 13th Primary Election. The additional millage will be used to finance <br />school operations and will raise $661,350.86 in the first year <br />it is to be levied.
