Birthdays are celebrated on <br />the first Thursday evening for <br />the month beginning and the <br />last Wednesday of the month <br />at noon, for the month ending. <br />(The month of. your birthday, <br />you can celebrate twice if you <br />plan it right). <br /> <br />Dances with a live band <br />(very good, by the way) are <br />neld on the 2nd and 4th <br />Wednesdays, 1 :30 p.m. to 4 <br />p.m. Donation is $1.50, which <br />includes a light lunch. We <br />have such a friendly, fun- <br />loving group - won't you join <br />us? <br />We have a Health Aware- <br />ness Program once a month <br />and also a presentation of <br />slides once a month. Several <br />types of programs are pre- <br />sented after dining time. <br />A Sunday Brunch is held <br />once a month, prepared and <br />served by the Senior <br />Volunteers as a fund-raiser for <br />the Center. A menu of waffles, <br />pancakes (all you can eat), <br /> <br />Anoka Seniors kicking up their heels. <br /> <br />Anoka Senior Center news <br /> <br />The Anoka Senior Center <br />located at Sixth and Wash- <br />ington (George Green Park) <br />extends an invitation to all <br />seniors to join us at the <br />Center (60 years of age for <br />dining, 55 years of age for ac- <br />tivities). <br />We have dining five days a <br />week at 12 noon. Reserva- <br />tions are two days in advance, <br />but should you wish to come <br />a certain day and you have not <br />registered, please call, as <br />sometimes cancellations <br />need to be filled. Our clinic is located <br />at 1323 Coon Rapids Blvd. For <br />more information call us and <br />ask for RlJth Selvius. <br />A service of your Anoka County <br />Community Action Program <br /> <br />Andover <br /> <br />Senior Club <br /> <br />The new Andover Senior <br />Citizen Club is on its way! <br />Meetings are held the 2nd and <br />4th Mondays of every month <br />at 6:30 p.m. at the new senior <br />~enter located .behind An- <br />dover City Hall on Crosstown <br />Blvd. Some of the activities <br />held so far at the center in- <br />clude bingo, cards, Sunday <br />afternoon potluck dinners, a <br />Christmas party, and senior <br />classes. . Club officers are <br />Mary Sonterre-president; <br />Helen Frantz-vice president; <br />. Marion Heidelberger-secre- <br />tary; and Helen Swanson- <br />treasurer. Since the club's for- <br />mation, dishes, card tables <br />and other needed items have <br />been purchased for the center <br />by the city of Andover. A <br />bingo machine was donated <br />. by the fire departmentra cof- <br />fee maker by the Lions Club, <br />and other assorted gifts by <br />community members. All area <br />seniors are welcome - more <br />members are wanted! <br /> <br />Ramsey <br />Senior Club <br /> <br />The Ramsey Senior <br />Citizens Club meets the first <br />Wednesday of each month in <br />the lower level of Ramsey <br />Municipal Center for a pot <br />luck luncheon at 12 noon, <br />followed by a business <br />meeting at 1 p.m. The <br />business meeting is followed <br />with card games, bingo or <br />some other form of entertain- <br />ment. /The club welcomes <br />new m'embers and anyone in- <br />terested in joining should <br />contact Valera LaBounty at <br />427-3811. <br /> <br />scrambled eggs, sausage, <br />juice and coffee or partial <br />orders are available with a <br />maximum charge of $2.50. <br />Exercise classe,s started <br />March 7th and are now held <br />every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. <br />Kaylene Sager is the instruc- <br /> <br />tor. <br />We look forward to meeting <br />you.
