'

Andover
Advisory
Council
active in
community

Andover Community Advi-
sory Council is a group of
people that have been around
for many years. Formerly
known as the Crooked Lake
Advisory Council, the. group
has changed their name, but
not their goals. They want to
meet the needs of everyone in
the' community. And to do
this, they need representation
from all groups. including
senior citizens,' teenagers,
parents, singles, and com-
munity leaders.
They meet at Crooked Lake
School the second Monday of
each month at 7:30 p.m., and
encourage anyone to come
and join them.
Their last major project was
building a community warm-
ing house and skating rink at
Crooked Lake School. Most of
the work was done by area
residents. and friends. It is a
good example of what a com-
munity minded group can ac-
complish with volunteers,
school and government work-
i ng together.

Council approved using the
Tri-City News in place of the
Andover Newsletter.
Administrator reported on
the Coon Creek Watershed
District Finance Committee
Meeting, i.e., some areas
previously assessed for pon-
ding areas would be deleted
as receivi ng benefit; and that
the other member cities were
'not in favor of assessing
benefit to previously de-
veloped areas as a share in
ponding costs.

January 22, 1985
.Council approved Wood.
land Terrace Feasibility Study
to be done by T.K.D.A. Utility
Budget discussed at length. It
was agreed to combine the
two Sewer Funds to establish
the monthly rate; after which
the credit for over-payment of
connection charges would be
subtracted for the "A" District
users. Rates will be $7.50 per
month and $8.50 per month
for Sewer District "B".
