r Ramsey Lions Club .... By Lion' Gary O. Munkholm Lions Clubs plan and con- duct a variety of community and humanitarian projects. The Ramsey Lions Club is a member of. the world's largest and most active service club organizations, seeking out and helping the needy in Ramsey, the country, and the world. The Ramsey Lions Club rhas been aiding your community for twelve years as of this date. Last October 8 was Lions World Service Day for-clubs around the world. Ramsey Lions Club honored this World Rec'ognition day by in- dividual efforts by each of the Ramsey member's towards . helping someone in need. October 26 found the members of the club donating their time in providing the an- nual spook house at Ramsey Elementary School for their Halloween Fun, nights. Lion Dick Hawkins headed this im- portant project to help pro- vide fun' to the youth of Ramsey. November 14 the club members, headed by Lion "'" Wanted: volunteers ~ Moms, Dads, Grand- parents, etc. Anyone who has the time and energy and would like to be a part of an ever growing Volunteer Pro- gram at' our school, contact Kathy Warner at 753-4039. Please join us, .you'll find it- fun and very rewarding for yourself and the students at Ramsey. ~ \ II I \ Dennis Anderson, sponsored a Bingo night for the Maple Manner nursing home with' prizes and refresnments. Helping senior citizens is an important part of the Ramsey Lions community involve- ment, and this is just one of many projects meeting this need. Lion Glen Rychner heads our Scouting committee and reports that the Ramsey Scouting program is strong with excellent leadership. The. Lions club of Ramsey spon- sors the ,local Scouting pro- gram in hopes of providing a strong community program to the youth of our city. These are only a few of the many projects the club is working on. You can help get involved by joining the Ramsey Lions Club. Meetings are held the 1 st and 3rd Wednesday of every month at 'Jimmy B's American Cafe in Ramsey.
