The <br />date of graduation is set for Sunday May 29th. <br />Many people are very unhappy because of this <br />day, which happens to be Memorial Day Week- <br />end. May 26th is the last day for seniors. <br />May 27th a commencement rehearsal is held at <br />Fred Moore Junior High. The 28th is Bacca- <br />laureate and the 29th is graduation. Grad- <br />uation will be held at Goodrich Field or in <br />case of bad weather, in the fieldhouse of <br />Anoka Senior. The rest of the students <br />last day is June 3rd. <br />This year the Anoka Senior Prom is to be <br />held May 6th at Town Square in St. Paul. <br />The theme of this years Prom is Stairway to <br />Heaven. The tickets are $4.50 a piece and <br />lasts from 8 pm to 12 am. <br />On April 28th the Bloodmobile will be held <br />at Anoka Senior High. It will run all day. <br />The students seventeen and older may partici- <br />pate in the bloodmobile. They encourage <br />everyone eligible to do so. <br />The Anoka girls track is off to a fine <br />start. They have participated in five track <br />meets and placed first in everyone. The <br />area of shot put and disc is very strong. <br />Cheryl Cota, a shot putter, has broken her <br />own record and the schools with a throw of <br />37 feet. Boys baseball and Girl's softball <br />are supposed to do pretty well this season. <br />Within the next month and a half the music <br />will be performing many concerts. April 18th <br />a Jazz Swing Concert at 7:30 will be held in <br />the Anoka Auditorium. April 19th and 21st <br />the Concert and Symphony Band will be per- <br />forling at the State Music Concert. The <br />orchestra will be holding an Art Show April <br />20th, 21st. April 28th the Choirs will be <br />performing at Anoka Auditorium. May 3rd, 5th, <br />the bands will beperforming at the Anoka Sr. <br />High Auditorium. May 10th the Orchestra will <br />be performing at 7:30 at the Anoka Sr. High <br />Auditoriu.. Saturday May 21st and Sunday, May <br />22nd, Anoka is putting on their Spring Pops <br />Concert.
