TRAFFIC CONTROL: All traffic control devices and layouts shall conform and be installed in <br />accordance to the latest addition of the Minnesota Temporary Traffic Control Field Manual. <br />PERMITS: The Contractor shall obtain all necessary construction permits. <br />PAYMENT: Invoices must be submitted to the City on a net 30-day basis, made out to the City <br />of Ramsey Engineering Department including the project description, and must be submitted via <br />email to accountsnavable@citvoframsev.com. Payments may be made by EFT upon request, <br />please submit EFT requests to accountsnavable(cr�citvoframsev.com. An IC 134 form will be <br />required for final payment. <br />PROMPT PAYMENT TO SUBCONTRACTORS: The Contractor shall pay any subcontractor <br />within ten (10) days of the prime contractor's receipt of payment from the municipality for <br />undisputed services provided by the subcontractor. The contract must require the prime contractor <br />to pay interest of 1 1/2 percent per month or any part of a month to the subcontractor on any <br />undisputed amount not paid on time to the subcontractor. The minimum monthly interest penalty <br />payment for an unpaid balance of $100 or more is $10. For an unpaid balance of less than $100, <br />the prime contractor shall pay the actual penalty due to the subcontractor. A subcontractor who <br />prevails in a civil action to collect interest penalties from a prime contractor must be awarded its <br />costs and disbursements, including attorney's fees, incurred in bringing the action. A contractor <br />on a public contract for a public improvement must pay all remaining retainage to its <br />subcontractors no later than ten (10) days after receiving payment of retainage from the public <br />contracting agency, unless there is a dispute about the work under a subcontract. If there is a <br />dispute about the work under a subcontract the contractor must pay out retainage to any <br />subcontractor whose work is not involved in the dispute, and must provide a written statement <br />detailing the amount and reason for the withholding to the affected subcontractor. <br />RESPONSIBLE CONTRACTOR: The Contractor for this project must be a "Responsible <br />Contractor" as defined in Mn Statute 16C.285. The Contractor must fill out Attachment A, Prime <br />Contractor Response. <br />BASIS OF PAYMENT: <br />Mobilization — Payment shall be made on a lump sum basis for the mobilization of equipment. <br />Remove Pavement — Payment shall be made on a square yard basis as compensation for all <br />equipment, material, and labor costs required for the removal and disposal of pavement per the <br />pavement type as marked in the field. Removal edges shall be saw cut, saw cutting of pavement is <br />incidental to the pay item. <br />Ductile Iron Fittings — Ductile Iron Pipe weights are based on the U.S. Pipe catalog tables. <br />Payment shall be made on a per pound basis as compensation for all equipment, material, and labor <br />costs required for the installation of ductile iron fittings. <br />Connect to Existing Watermain — Payment shall be made on a per each basis as compensation for <br />all equipment, material, and labor costs required for the connection to existing watermain. <br />4 <br />
