The March 2001 Draft of the Comprehensive Plan shows the subject property designated <br />for medium density residential at a density not to exceed 7 units per acre. The Planning <br />Commission reviewed the request for a land use change on December 4, 2001, and <br />recommended approval of same. <br /> <br />Action: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt Resolution #01-12-_ approving the request frpm Eighty Seven LLC for a land <br />use change on the southwest quadrant of 153'rd and T.H. #47 from commercial to medium density <br />residential and directing City Staff to forward the comprehensive plan. amendment to <br />Metropolitan Council for approval. <br /> <br />D. EDINA DEVELOPMENT <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Edina Development, Inc. has submitted an application for a comprehensive plan amendment to <br />change the land use designation for property located in the Northwest comer of Alpine Dr. and <br />State Highway 47. They would like to change the commercial and single family residential <br />designation to high density residential. The following items are enclosed for your infonnation: <br /> <br />. Proposed Resolution approving comprehensive plan amendment <br /> <br />The 1995 Comprehensive Plan indicates that the subject property is designated for commercial <br />and single family residential uses. The March 2001 Draft of the Comprehensive Plan shows the <br />subject property designated for Places to Shop (Commercial). The applicant's request to high <br />density would anow up to 15 residential units per acre. The Planning Commission reviewed the <br />request for a land use change on September 10, 2001 and recommended. approval to high density <br />residential. <br /> <br />Action: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt Resolution #0 1 ~ 12-_ approving the request from Edina Development for a <br />land use change on the northwest quadrant of Alpine Dr (153rd) and T.R. #47 from commercial <br />
