ORRIN THOMPSON <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Orrin Thompson has submitted an application for a comprehensive plan amendment to change <br />the land use designation on the Katnis property located west of State Highway #47 and south of <br />Sunwood Drive. The following items are enclosed for your information:, <br /> <br />. Site location map <br />. General development plan for the subject property . <br />. Planning Commission meeting minutes dated November 5, 2001 <br />. Proposed Resolution approving a comprehensive plan amendment <br /> <br />The 1995 Comprehensive Plan indicates that the subject property is designated for commercial <br />uses. The March 2001 Draft of the Comprehensive Plan shows the subject property designated <br />for medium density residential development. Medium density residential development has been <br />defined as density not to exceed 7 units per acre. The Plarming Commission reviewed the <br />request for a land use change on November 5, 2001 and recommended that the City Council <br />approve the requested comprehensive plan amendment. <br /> <br />. Action: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt Resolution #01-12-_ approving the request from Orrin Thompson for a land <br />use change from commercial to medium density residential and directing City Staff to forward <br />the comprehensive plan amendment to Metropolitan Council for approval. <br /> <br />F. LORD OF LIFE <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Lord of Life Church submitted an application for a comprehensive plan amendment for their <br />property located between Hwy. 47 and CSAH 5 (Nowthen Blvd.). The request was to change <br />the land use designation from Commercial and Medium Density Residential to High Density <br />Residential. The City Council reviewed the application at it's October 23,2001 meeting. At that <br />meeting, the City Council passed a resolution authorizing staff to send down the comprehensive <br />plan amendment to City Council.
