<br />PC CASE # :J,. <br /> <br />CONSIDER AUTHORIZATION TO IDRE A <br />COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFICER <br /> <br />By: Givonna Reed Kone, Human Resources Manager <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />As part ofthe 2007 budget, the City Council authorized the creation of one new patrol <br />officer position. That position was filled internally by Community Service Officer <br />Melissa Wi strom. The City Council granted staff authorization to fill the community <br />service officer position and an internal recruitment process was conducted. Six <br />candidates were interviewed and the Police Chief recommends that Drew Moldenhauer <br />be hired for the community service officer position. <br /> <br />Mr. Moldenhauer has completed the background check and pre-employment physical and <br />drug screen. All results are satisfactory. <br /> <br />Funding Source <br /> <br />This community service officer position is a replacement position and will be funded by <br />the general fund. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation <br /> <br />Staff recommends that Drew Moldenhauer be hired as a community service officer at an <br />hourly wage of$15.30 (2006 pay scale).
