Needed, and not in conflict with the City or another organization (or can be a <br />collaborative effort), lead the charge in determining the audience, scope of need, <br />funds needed to provide, time frame appropriate, who will be involved, whether it is a <br />good (physical item) or service (training courses, organization startup, club startup, <br />educational celebration, event, etc). <br /> <br />Characterization of Success in other Organizations Providing Similar <br />Services <br /> <br />There are no other City Foundations in Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Other City Foundations have varying purposes that differ from the City of Ramsey <br />Foundation (as stated above): <br /> <br />. Some are strictly organized to aive money or grants, not to do. <br /> <br />. Some are strictly organized to provide student scholarships. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey Foundation, Inc. is different - our purpose requires action either by <br />members, affiliates, community members, or others, and acts in complementary fashion <br />with the civic organizations, other Ramsey area nonprofits, the City of Ramsey and <br />others. <br /> <br />Laws or Rules/Regulations Affecting Foundation Services <br /> <br />Any potential overlap with City of Ramsey services will be reviewed carefully with City <br />Staff and City Council prior to action on any project to ensure compliance with City <br />regulations and the Foundation's Charter. <br /> <br />Any potential overlap with other Ramsey-area organizations will.be handled by first <br />determining if the other organization provides the good or service already and, if not, the <br />Foundation will proceed with the approved project or, as appropriate, will collaborate <br />with the other organization to proceed with the project. <br /> <br />Ramsey Foundation Charter Business Plan 2006-07 _v1, Page 6 of 15 <br />
