<br />Funding Sources <br /> <br />The two national :finns (The Waters Consulting Group and The Mercer Group) will cover travel <br />expenses for their representatives.who attend interviews with the City Council. <br /> <br />At the December 8, 2006 work session, the City Council detennined that the following dollar <br />amounts would be allocated to the city administrator search: <br /> <br />$18,000 executive search (position profile, location of candidates, etc.) <br />$ 5,000 expenses (advertising, background checks, travel for consultants) <br />$ 3,000 relocation expenses for selected candidate <br />$26,000 <br /> <br />In reviewing the executive search :firm proposals, it has become clear that the search may cost <br />slightly more than anticipated depending on the number of out-of-state finalists the City <br />Council wishes to consider. <br /> <br />The :first $20,000 of the search will be paid for from the Miscellaneous Professional Services <br />fund in the Administrative Services budget and the remainder will need to be paid using an <br />alternate funding source, such as the Council Contingency Fund. <br /> <br />Council Action <br /> <br />Upon completion of interviews with the fom selected executive search :finns, staff reconnnends that <br />the City Council forward to the February 13,2007 City Council meeting a reconnnendation to <br />select a firm to assist the City of Ramsey with the recruitment and selection of a new city <br />administrator. <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />) <br />Staff has attached a copy of the interview questions.
