<br />2 <br /> <br />WHAT'S <br />HAPPENING <br />IN RAMSEY <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MEETING UPDATE <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council met on <br />Tuesday, January 11, 2000, and <br />ack:nowledged receipt of a $500 donation <br />from Commercial Asphalt to be used at the discretion of <br />the Council to benefit the youth of Ramsey. <br />An ordinance was adopted adding a storm drainage <br />utility section to the Ramsey City Code. This will generate <br />a revenue source that is necessary to undertake a number of <br />storm sewer and drainage projects. <br />Council authorized soliciting bids for construction <br />of Fire Station #2. <br />Council approved Chris Bulow's request for an <br />exception to the moratorium to allow him to submit a formal <br />application to the City for a housing plan. Council's reasoning <br />was the plan for high density residential complies with the <br />draft Comprehensive Plan approved by the Council on <br />December 21, 1999, and because the relief requested is only <br />34 days sooner than the actual expiration date under the <br />moratorium. <br />The Ramsey City Council met on Tuesday, <br />January 25, 2000, and heard some comment during the <br />Citizen Input portion of the meeting relating to the District <br />#11 high school site process. <br />Council conducted a public hearing relating to the <br />allocation of Community Development Block Grant <br />Funds. <br />An ordinance was adopted to vacate a portion of <br />the drainage and utility easement on Lots 6 and 7, Block <br />4, Klemish Addition. <br />The Ramsey City Council met on Tuesday, <br />February 8, 2000, and heard comment during the Citizen <br />Input portion of the meeting relating to the siting of the high <br />school for School District #11. <br />Public hearings were conducted relating to the 2000 <br />Annual Street Maintenance Program. <br />Council approved a conditional use permit for two <br />dwellings on one parcel; request of Donald Kveton, <br />5750 - 177th Avenue NW, Ramsey. The second dwelling on <br />the property is to provide separate living quarters from his <br />own for the caretakers of his hobby farm. <br />Council approved the proposed site plan for the <br />fire station on Armstrong Boulevard NW. <br />Council granted final plat approval of Business <br />Park 95 Eighth Addition. The area is generally north of <br />the intersection of 140th and Radium and south of Industry <br />Avenue. <br /> <br />~ --:, ~~ <br /> <br />MINNESOTA <br />PRECINCT CAUCUSES <br /> <br />Minnesota's precinct caucuses are <br />held in every even numbered election year. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />.
