PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE
Due to the amount of input over the post
month, the Ramsey City Council has set a public
hearing to discuss the rates that were introduced
on the utility bills for the Storm Drainage Utility.
The hearing is set for Tuesday, September 26,
2000, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.
CERTIFICATION OF DELIQUENT
SERVICE BILLINGS
Ramsey City Ordinances and Minnesota Statutes
allow for the annual certification ofdelinquent service billings,
which may include water, sewer, street lighting, recycling
charges, penalties incurred, and any other types of service
billings that are unpaid as of September 1, 2000. Failure to
pay would result in the entire past -due amount being assessed
against the property, payable with property taxes payable
in 2001. An administrative fee plus interest at approximately
8.5% is added to the assessment.
Notices will be mailed to service addresses with
delinquent billings the first week of September notifying the
property of the delinquent billing and what will take place.
A public hearing to address unpaid service billings will be
held on September 26, 2000, at the Ramsey Municipal
Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard, Ramsey, Minnesota.
To avoid receipt of a notice of delinquent service
billings, payments for utility billings must be received by
Connexus Energy (they handle the City of Ramsey's utility
billing) by September 1, 2000. Other delinquencies should
be paid directly to the City of Ramsey and must be received
by September 1, 2000.
Ifyou have questions regarding this process, please
