The improvements to the
homes are to meet building code and/or health and
safety standards. Please be aware that the Housing
Rehabilitation Program is not designed for cosmetic
improvements, remodeling, or building additions to the
home. Improvements may include, but are not limited
to repairs such as roof, electrical, plumbing, window,
siding, furnace, water heater, insulation, foundation,
accessibility, well and septic systems.
If interested in the program, please call the
hotline at 763-783-4721.
Minnesota Housing Finance Agency
(MHFA): This program is funded directly from
MHFA. The MHFA program is a deferred loan
(interest free with no monthly payments), for a
maximum of$15,000. The original loan amount is to
be paid in full if the home is sold or transferred. The
entire loan is due payable at 30 years, regardless if
home is sold or transferred.
Please be aware that this is a loan program,
and income, along with other applicant information,
will be verified by ACCAP. The income limit is based
on an adjusted gross annual income level between
$11,000 - $18,000. The MHFAprogram has a very
low-income threshold waiting list only.
The eligibility requirement for the MHFA
program include, but are not limited to:
.
