<br />~ <br /> <br />Public Notice <br /> <br />Police Reserves Wanted <br /> <br />The Ramsey Police Department <br />is accepting applications for Police <br />Reserve Officers. The police reserve <br />unit consists of dedicated volunteers <br />who operate in a non-sworn capacity <br />assisting the police department with <br />uniformed preventative patrols, spe- <br />cial events, and community policing <br />details. They also perform many <br />other non-licensed duties as it relates <br />to police work and public safety. <br />Applicants must be 18 years of age, <br />possess a high school diploma or <br />GED and have a valid MN driver's <br /> <br />license. Those applicants who pass <br />the oral interviews must then pass a <br />thorough background investigation. <br />For an application packet containing <br />additional requirements and descrip- <br />tion of duties, call or stop by the <br />Ramsey Police Department. The <br />Ramsey Police Department is located <br />behind City Hall at 15153 Nowthen <br />Blvd. NW Questions may be directed <br />to Officer Tim Franl(furth, Police <br />Reserve Unit Coordinator at 763- <br />427-6812. Application deadline is <br />June 30, 2006 at 5:00 pm. <br /> <br />Simple Sort Recycling is Here! <br /> <br />By now, most, if not all, residences should have received their recycling <br />cart for the new simple sort recycling system. If you have not yet received a <br />recycling cart, please contact ACE Solid Waste, Inc at 763-427-3110 or email <br />at service@acesolidwaste.com to request one. Remember, this new system does <br />not require any materials to be separated; everything can go directly into the <br />cart! <br /> <br />The following materials are acceptable through the curbside recycling <br />program: <br /> <br />Newspaper, magazines, catalogs, phone books <br />Direct mail advertising, envelopes of all types <br />Paperbacl( books, file folders, notebooks, clean paper bags <br />Colored paper, fax and telex sheets <br />Boxboard: cereal, cal(e, and chip boxes and corrugated cardboard <br />Metal food cans and aluminum beverage cans <br />Glass bottles and jars <br />Plastic bottles such as soda, milk, shampoo, water and laundry containers <br /> <br /> <br />If you have general questions about Ramsey's <br />recycling program, please contact Chris Anderson <br />at 763-433-9905 or visit the city's website. The ban is in effect from May <br />30 to September 5, 2006. <br />Residents may water on odd <br />days if their address ends in an odd <br />number and on even days if their <br />address ends in an even number. <br />No watering between 10:00 am. and <br />8:00 pm.
