3. E. Fencing or walls (except retaining walls) located in the front yard shall not exceed 4 feet height. Fencing or walls located in the side or rear yard shall not exceed 6 feet in height. Fences outside the 2020 MUSA are allowed up t 8 feet in height tn any yard but must be setback a minimum of 100 feet from the front property line unless they have at least 75% clear visible opening. Fences may be constructed of barbed wire to accommodate agricultural activities and the raising of livestock and animals as defined by City Animal Ordinance __. Existing parcels within the MUSA that are currently used for agr/cultural activities or the raising of livestock and animals also qualify under this provisiom Fencing material shall only consist of wood or a chain link fence. No other types of materials shall be permitted. Fence flaming, must face inward on the property.. Fencing must be placed 100% on the property owners parcel. Garbage Receptacle Storage: Outdoor garbage receptacles serving multi-family units must be in either the rear or side yard and must be screened from public view and adjoining properties. F. Site Landscaping: 1. Minimum Landscaping Requirements. Ail open space areas of a lot which are not used or improved for required parking areas, drives or storage shall be landscaped with a combination of overstory trees, ornamental trees, shrubs, flowers, ground cover, decorative walks, or other similar site design materials in a quantity and placement suitable for the site. A reasonable attempt should be made to preserve as many existing trees as is practicable to incorporate them . into the development. For each existing significant tree retained one overstory tree can be deducted form th minimum requirements. 2. Number of Plantings. The minimum number of overstory trees on.any given site shall be as indicated as below. These are minimum requirements that are typically supplemented with other understory trees, s}n-ubs, flowers, and ground covers deemed appropriate for a complete quality landscape treatment of a site. Required trees shall be of the following minimum planting size: Deciduous Trees Coniferous Trees Deciduous Shrubs Evergreen Shrubs Ornamental Trees Size 2.5 inches diameter as measured three feet above ground 6 feet in height 2 feet in height 2 feet in height or 2 feet in width, whichever applies 1.5 inch diameter as measured three feet above ground Planting Types. Acceptable plantings shall be determined by the City of Ramsey planting schedule. Thc 1 compliment of trees fulfilling the landscaping requirements shall not be less than 25% deciduous and not less than 25% coniferous.
