all the way down Bunker going east and connect with the new sidewalks by SA &
Wendy's. It's hard to ride bikes as a family when the curve on Bunker is so
dangerous. As an adult I almost got hit on my bike. Hwy 47 Needs to have
sidewalks on both sides. My best friend died on Hwy 47 in 1991 while he was roller
blading. We don't need anymore fatalities!!
o More affordable housing and/or programs for single mothers.
o Encourage clustered senior housing in town square vicinity.
o Stop building townhomes/condo. We are getting way to crowded around my home -
SE Ramsey.
o Condominium & senor apts - assisted living attached to nursing home facilities.
Taxes are very hard on seniors fixed incomes many are being forced from their single
family homes, and would like to be near the new city center shops.
o Create more attractive neighborhoods above $300,000 instead of concentrating efforts
on development objectives that will raise crime rates and bring property values down
(i.e.: Anoka). Take a look at our neighbor Andover. They seem to know how to
develop a city.
o Less government, less taxes
o Create better sound barriers along major highways - 47, etc.
.0 There is none. Ramsey is a rural area and we'd like it to retain that concept. The road
system is already inadequate for the number of homes/cars in Ramsey. Stop the
growth!
o No more subsidized townhomes, require owners to reside at rental. Keep rental units
at a minimum as it was prior to joining Met Council. More upscale single family
developments. We have watched the crime and vandalism increase hugely since the
Hwy 47 & Sunwood development came in.
o Creating livable, family-friendly neighborhoods.
o Stop Building
o No more rental housing or trailer parks.
o The need to not develop low income housing.
o Continue to develop attractive, reasonably priced single family neighborhoods.
o Don't allow companies to come into developments (townhomes/condos) and buy
properties and rent them out to low income families or subsidized families. I pay a
lot where I live to have low income people wreck homes around me and cause
domestic problems. I want my value to go up not down and properties to be well
maintained. Renters don't care! ! !
o I'm not able to answer this, other than a place for the homeless. My concerns are that
our roads will not be able to take an increase in population. It is ok for rental
property to increase as long as there are jobs for people to work at in our community.
Don't want to encourage those without a work ethic to move here.
o More senior housing, improve our parks in our neighborhoods. Too many cheap
townhomes & apartments will breed crime & take away the beauty of the city in the
future. More single family homes will increase the number of people with a long
term stake in our community.
o Keep developing upscale neighborhoods, and more parks, also sidewalks on both
sides of the streets would be nice.
o I'm not sure I truly enjoy living in Ramsey.

8
